Modern society benefits from the improvement of life quality and life expectancy compared to society 50 or 100 years ago (1). However, living longer is also accompanied by negative developments which include an increase in the incidence of non-communicable chronical diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, cancer. In fact, NCDs are becoming one of the greatest threats of our time (2).
